racing info

  • Please come prepared with adequate water and nutrition for your race.
  • Numbered bibs will be provided to attach to your bike, please make sure they are visible.  Fun Run racers will have the bibs pinned to the front of their shirts.
  • Bike Races will be timed via RFID chips through Rocky Mountain Timing, and finishing times may be accessed on their site later that day. The 5K Family Fun run will not be timed.
  • Photo's of your finish will also be available for download through Rocky Mountain Timing.
  • 33-mile, 18-mile, and 13-mile racers will begin at a slow pace behind the fire engine, who will act as a pacer vehicle until the first hill is reached.  Once the fire engine takes off, then it's up the hill as hard and fast as you can, spreading out all the racers and making for a better entry onto the actual trailhead. Road 31 will be closed off to vehicles for about 15 minutes as everyone gets up the hill.
  • Signs and color coding flags will be posted at different trail intersections guiding you along your journey.  There will be volunteers posted at various locations.
  • Should you find a fellow rider in need, please alert the next volunteer you see on the trail along with the approximate location.
